Updates from Richmond Rapid Response Fund

We are in the process of moving the cash grant program from one-time support into a periodic, unconditional, cash payment. R3F’s decision to implement a guaranteed income program is informed by a community assessment process in the founding coalition. When the priorities of the fund were originally distilled, guaranteed income had always been a desired outcome and directive of R3F’s work from the community.

Since the R3F began, over 862 families were served with direct cash grants, while 77 families were assisted with rent relief. R3F has provided $431,000 in direct disbursements and $385,000 in rental relief payments. R3F disbursements have made an enormous impact on families' lives; addressing housing and economic security.
